Melman's much touted RNC poll claims broad support for comprehensive reform. I would wager my 401K that 90% of the dopes who support "comprehensive" reform don't know jack about this abominable senate bill.

Support for the Senate immigration "deform" has peaked and will decline as the public becomes informed. . . .kinda like Harriet Miers ;)

I would also support "comprehensive" immigration reform, if "comprehensive" meant building a wall, arresting illegals, and sanctioning employers with fines and jail sentences.

Yeah, and if they did a push poll that said
"This bill would make 10 million illegal immigrants citizens within 12 years and would more than double immigration to over 40 million people in 20 years, do you support it?"
... you'd get single digit support levels.

"Comprehensive" sounds nice and warm.

That poll is done by the admin's own polster now working for Arnold with ties to McCain and, I think I read some connection of the company to Vicente? could be mistaken on that last. It's kind of like NARAL putting out a survey that "confirms" Americans support abortion while the babe is breathing on its own but hasn't yet had the doctor cut the umbilical cord.

No credibility. At all. And the House Republicans know it, which is why one of them said they must not be polling their district. LOL

Apparently we're to believe a polster charged with an agenda to craft results that favor amnesty, instead of believing recent elections against amnesty supporters and the massive flood of communications to our representatives they've acknowledged.

With that thinking I suppose Kerry should be President after all. The first exit polls did say he won, why should we believe the actual ballots that say otherwise?

There has never been support for amnesty. The public doesn't worry me here. It's the arrogant reckless politicians supposedly representing us that don't give a damn about protecting this country that need to be watched like hawks. They aren't going to give up, they'll just try to be sneakier about getting it through. We'll have to watch every piece of legislation from now on, as well as keep an eye out for Friday night votes.
