Ginty Pledges Support for Home Education in honor of the Second Anniversary of the 2004 Trenton Rally
May 25, 2006
Contact: John Ginty (201) 264-9136
(Ridgewood, May 24, 2006) -In honor of the two-year anniversary of the Trenton Home Education Rally held May 24, 2004, John Ginty, the conservative candidate in this year's Republican U. S. Senate primary election in New Jersey, pledged his continued support of home education. Ginty fully recognizes the success of parents who are freely allowed to direct the upbringing and education of their children without government intrusion. When almost 2000 members of the burgeoning, New Jersey home education community met in Trenton on May 24, 2004, they rightfully gathered to defend this freedom and to celebrate forty years of great success in New Jersey.
Today, children who were home educated themselves now educate their own children; attend colleges that actively recruit home educated students since they arrive well educated with a strong motivation to learn; graduate to law schools, business schools, and medical schools; serve as proud members of our military; engage in community, national, and international ministries; develop their own businesses; and successfully move ahead in many careers since they are inculcated with a strong work ethic and strength of character. Home education can no longer be dismissed as "alternative" education -- it is education with true purpose of the highest caliber.
A vibrant, American family remains the key building block of our society. And, as home education encourages unique, strong family ties, home education renders well-educated students who bolster the success of our nation. Ginty said, "Just as I support the Marriage Protection Amendment, which is opposed by my opponent, and as I have received the endorsements of the Republican National Coalition for Life and New Jersey Right to Life, I cannot fail to support what is wise and what works. That includes home education when parents make that decision for their children. In the spirit of the 1994 Armey Amendment, I will endeavor to keep home education free of government control and hold back federal encroachment of parental rights.
"As a strong fiscal conservative, too, and as the only candidate in the upcoming Republican Senate primary to have endorsed specific, massive cuts in the federal budget, I support the proposed 2007 Federal Budget sponsored by the conservative House Republican Study Committee. This Budget eliminates over 150 wasteful and unnecessary federal programs, and balances the federal budget within five years. Such fiscal conservatism supports the financial health and well being of all families."

This guy sure sounds a lot closer to the real deal than the liberal Republican (Kean the Less) he's running against.

God's speed to him. A wonderful candidate.

With Kean, we'll have a liberal Republican running against a socialist Democrat. I'm d*mn sick of having to make that choice.
Enough is enough!

I'm sure we can purge ourselves of all the RINOs and have a nice Senate caucus of 35-40 members.
That'll show 'em.

Didn't the NJ Legislature recently try to pass more home-schooling restrictions? What was the outcome of it?
One reason we moved to NJ and intend to stay for the long term is because of the more tolerable homeschooling laws compared to PA.

That's effectively what we've got anyway. I'm not in favor of making the Gang of 14 a Gang of 15 with the addition of a liberal like Tom Kean Jr. That does not improve the situation one iota.
The conservative base of the GOP has been effectively neutered by Senators who campaigned as conservatives but vote as liberals on the issues that matter. The power of the RINOs in the party has to be ended before things will get better.
Kean is liberal on every issue I care about. He recently flip-flopped on illegal immigration. You know he would have been a vote for the Shamnesty bill that recently came out of the Senate. John Ginty, on the other hand, wouldn't have.
I don't vote for liberals regardless of party.

Not sure. I think it failed, but considering the NJ Democrat party is in the back pocket of the teachers' unions, I don't doubt that they'll try again.
Our children must be properly "socialized" at all costs!

When you take an action, or inaction, to elect a Democrat, isn't that precisely what you've done?

When given a "choice" between a liberal and a socialist, I opt out.
But hey, at least I'm better in this regard than the liberal Republicans here in NJ who *actively support Democrats* when a conservative Republican gets nominated in the primary. See the McGreevey vs. Schundler debacle in 2001.
The RINOs in NJ are an arm of the Democrat party. Why would any conservative vote for a candidate who only serves to help lock them securely out of power?
RINOs need to lose and lose badly if we're to have any hope of taking the party back in NJ.

Not in NJ, know nothing about it.
What's the fundraising look like, and the polling. Is Ginty going to win the primary? If not, then why did conservatives fail in New Jersey?

Not for the poster in question, apparently. For some reason, he thinks electing another Republican liberal will help matters in the Senate. It won't. I would argue that in the long run, it actually makes matters worse because it consolidates more power into the hands of the RINO block.
We have a conservative choice in John Ginty. He's under-funded. His opponent has a ton more name recognition. But he can win if we get the word out enough. And after the primary, anything can happen in November...

He's a long-shot, but his support is growing. If he can get the word out to the party faithful before June 6, he's got a shot.
If not, then why did conservatives fail in New Jersey?
Probably because we're fighting against the Democrats *and* the leadership of the Republican Party--all of whom are liberals.

If not, then why did conservatives fail in New Jersey? Because we live in a state full of retards. Look at the politicians from both parties in power here now.I'd honestly say without exaggeration that less than 10% of them are honest decent human beings.
