My stepson was in Iraq during the initial invasion; at the time we were all worried about WMD and we didn't sleep for months. We were often able to e-mail him in "real time" during his hours and gave him so much information his buddies called us their "Daily Intel Briefing".
E-mail makes it easier for families to stay in touch, but I know the situation now is worrisome in ways we did not consider back in 2003. You know that your friends on FR will be praying for your son's safe return and if at some other time you wish us to send him letters from home, please let us know.
Yeah, Mike was there for the initial surge...I worried about the WMD too, the daily bombings at his camp and being shot down in one of his choppers....to think I have another year of this.......grrrrrrrrrrr...
