I hate to say it, but there's probably some truth to the charge. I grew up in the NY suburbs (Westchester County) right next door to the area Shays represents and it would certainly have been true of the folks where I came from, Republican or Democrat. Other parts of Connecticut may be different, but the wealthy and influential folks from the NY border up through Fairfield, which is the folks Shays caters too, are truly "that type."
To my knowledge I have never met any one of you, but I feel like I have known many of you almost forever. I throughly enjoy the Sunday morning thread. Informative, combative, funny. Somebody should write a book about us. I'd buy it.

Immigration is the hot topic of the day, and rightly so. Here are two other things I found to be of particular interest as we look down the road a little ways.
1. In spite of all the bluster of the raid on Jefferson's office, at the end of the day leadership of both sides of the house had to admit the FBI acted with in its authority. This has tremendous repercussions as the CIA leak investigations begin to focus on Congresscritters. Stay tuned...
2. A California appeals court in reversing a lower court ruling gave legal status to bloggers as journalists worthy of First Amendment protections. Regardless of the eventual outcome of the case, this this recognition will not go over well with the MSM. (You know that Dan Rather thing about filters and fact checkers.)
