Marvelous post. Documentation of the very foundation of WHY this is all happening and the law will NOT be enforced comes out. The big boys are becoming millionaires at our expense (health care, schools, judicial system, housing, etc., etc., etc.). How Godless.

What do you think about your U. S. Senators this morning?

That cannot be printed here.

Who cares? Let the Senate go D. The Republicans are delivering what the Democrats promise anyway.

I don't think they should pay. . .but the laws need to be enforced by starting first, with the workers. . .as they make theier choice.

No doubt I step into a 'minority' here but can only imagine, fines being imposed left and right. . .and prices going up. . .markets going down. . .quality being compromised to pay. . .etc.

If we work on the legal equasions as they are written. . .make progress; then go after the employers where necessary; but not now. The point is to deal with the flow of immigration; not shoot ourselves in the foot. . or at least both feet.

Actually, I'm more inclined to believe Rep. Norwood from Georgia who believes that the GOP will lose the House ONLY IF the House doesn't stand firm in conference, dismissing the taint if not the reality of amnesty. Norwood's idea may be the one coming out of conference, to wit: Throw out the straw man of "mass deportation." Further, all illegal aliens currently in the United States must sign up for a tamper-proof card, then return to their countries of origin to register to come back here on a work-permit basis only (they have to go through the process of citizenship from their own embassies). Next, fine and jail employers of illegal aliens.

The majority of the Republican senators know amnesty won't fly, but the McCains and Hagels and Chafees and Grahams have the socialist left to coddle. In my view, McCain, Hagel, Chafee, and Graham are now vulnerable pigeons in their next runs for office.

Regards . . . Penny

I agree. How do we fire them?

Sure are, aren't they? This has nothing to do with party anymore. This is simply the "haves" further oppressing the "have nots". Very, very wrong.

Laws designed to punish people who employ illegal aliens are an abomination and un-American. Punishing employers for the short comings of the government whose job description includes protecting our borders is punishing the innocent for the sake of the guilty. Americans should be free to employ anybody willing to work or anybody who suits their purposes. It is none of the government's business who Americans hire for anything and it is none of yours.

More than ninety percent of Americans, and far too many so-called conservatives, have forgotten what freedom is or means. One of the things it means is doing whatever you want with your own money whenever you want. Freepers and conservatives who disagree should reconsider their positions.

If amnesty passes this maybe the last time your vote will count.

This is not a bill to solve the illegal immigration problem. It is a bill to accelerate the invasion. If it becomes law in this form then we face the question of why are wasting money staffing the border at all? Why not spend that money setting up Welcome Centers? where the entering "illegals" can sign up for new ID, SS, and all sorts of welfare all at one clean air conditioned place>

Funny the same government that doesn't mind lawbreakers hiring cheap illegal aliens don't seem to like Americans buying cheap medicine elsewhere.

I hope the Founding Fathers are spinning

The Founding Fathers did just fine.

It's those who passed the wretched 17th Amendment in 1913 (direct election of Senators) who should be eternally ashamed and spinning in their graves. I seriously doubt this would be happening if our State legislatures were choosing the Senate.

I have put this out two times before but no answer.

Why can't we start recalls on all the ones that are voting for this insane bill. Even if we don't get enough signatures it will scare the hell out of them. This is our only way NOW of letting them know what the citizens think.

Yep. Just a quick look at the numbers from the last election aren't pretty when you add millions of new democrats flowing across the border in time for the next election.

"Well if the employers broke the law and hired crimmigrants and Sphincter wants to absolve them of any penalty then it is "AMNESTY".

So I imagine we won't need ICE anymore? No more raids?

For the first time in a very long time, Byrd faces a tough challenge. The people of WV are very agitated over the illegals in this country even though they (the illegals) have almost no presence in this state. No one in the Senate is a better vote counter than Byrd. IMO, his votes on anything that punishes or limits illegal immigration are nothing but calculated pandering.

Races to watch

Washington should not be on that list. King County controls the vote in that state and, more importantly, controls the vote counting.I don't think any level of Republican majority can offset that.

Makes sense from their point of view. Otherwise, when an illegal applied for his amnesty, the employer could immediately be prosecuted for employing a known illegal alien.

In any case, build a wall. Stop 90% plus of the invaders. THEN we can discuss what to do with the illegals already here and any "guest" worker program.
