Chewing outs should happen in private. You chew cadets out in front of other cadets to make a point, but after they've made it through the class, you never chew an officer out in front of another officer. You bring them in, and talk to them privately.
I just completed a training academy. At graduation, I tied two of my cadet's ties for them. Those are my people. I'd never belittle or embarass them in front of their family members. Mothers, fathers, wives, husbands and children waiting for a swearing in ceremony get treated to this garbage. It's not right.
As an outsider I wasn't familiar with this woman's history. It's interesting how the MSM breaks these stories nationally and they don't bother with the background the locals and those in the same field know. You'd almost think they did it on purpose. ;)
