Sounds like a wonderfull time for GOP candidates to listen to their constituents.

Thanks for posting this.
There is a message being sent, the question is who is listening.
Moderation in the face of adversity is not a desireable trait, imo.

This is very good news. And also much more effective than not voting and giving Democrats victories across the country.

Thanks Jim;
IMHO, if ANY candidate would simply stand and say "I want our immigration laws enforced, I want our border's locked down, and I want illegals deported"; I'd vote for them without regad to thier party affiliation.
We have Republicans who have no idea what the party stands for, each has used his position to better himself at the expense of those who put him in office.
It's time to haul out the trash.

Hope so Jim, but of the supposed "2008 republican" candidates, only George Allen is a true Conservative! Still looks like (R)ino as usual.

A RINO is better than a Demo. RINO's can on occasions do have flashes of conservatism. Yeah, Yeah I know very rarely.

"In Nebraska, Congressman tom Osborne, and legend in the state, was defeated for the nomination for Governor due to his weak stand on illegal aliens. "
Thats what the Osborn folks say but I think it had a lot more to do with the fact he didn't take much of a stand on ANYTHING....I love coach but we have a decent governor now and Tom wouldn't come out and tell us exactly what is views are...kinda like a Collin Powell figure..
To: Jim Robinson
If only the RNC and the Republicans in DC would see this and believe it, instead they keep trying to shove Guiliani and McCain at us and telling candidates to move to the center.

A Republican that votes like a Democrat is worse than having a Democrat in the first place.
At least if its a Democrat incumbent, conservatives can work to defeat him without spending a lot of money in a drag out primary.
To get rid of a lousy GOP incumbent you have to defeat him in a primary and then hope the new guy has enough money to beat the Rat.

There hasn't been an issue as politically potent as illegal immigration in at least a generation. It could even realign the political landscape on a scale similar to the New Deal.
It's time for the "leaders" to get out in front of the crowd--or cease to be leaders.

Thanks for posting this Jim.
One of the main reasons that we booted those 14 incumbents here in Pennsylvania was due to them voting themselves a hefty pay raise (under the cover of darkness, hoping no one would notice) and then instead of waiting for the next term before that pay raise would become effective, they played fast and loose with the "reimbursable expenses portion of their per-diem" which in effect gave them the pay raise now. Not exactly playing by Hoyle's rules.

I believe FR is a direct reflection of what is happening in our party. Conservatives will only put up with so much before they are forced to act.

The thought is simple, why protect a Republican running for office if their voting record will differ little from the Democrats. If the only two viable choices are someone who will punch me in the nose 24/7 and someone who will only do so eight hours a day, I'll take that small break for now and work for something better in the future.
To: Jim Robinson
its funny...because you posted this ..then that pretty much assures this thread wont have any of those "YOURE NOT A REAL REPUBLICAN, SO GO BACK TO DU!" annoying type head-in-the-sand posters. Feel free to post more articles like this one!

The Primaries are the perfect place for Conservatives to show their displeasure, and not during the General Elections. As you have shown, it is possible to make our voices heard without handing victories to the Democrats.
