Unfortunately, this bogus amnesty pushed by the GOP White House is the CLAW HAMMER which undoes the nails in the coffin of the Democrats, and thus gives them new life.
I shudder to think how many good loyal Republicans will either switch allegiance this year (and 2008) and possibly in years to come over this 'legalized invasion' proposal by GWB.
As for myself, I could not have been a more deeply committed Republican: giving money, time, editorials, etc.
Now, I am ashamed at the thought our nation is being sold down a rathole, and I somehow blame myself for not seeing this coming.
