The Sierra Times hears what it wants to hear...and then issues forth with its usual moaning and weeping and hand-wringing...

From the President's last night address - Paragraph #6:

"Our objective is straightforward: The border should be open to trade and lawful immigration - and shut to illegal immigrants, as well as criminals, drug dealers, and terrorists."

But what was missed by all of this is the fact that all of these "guest workers" as Bush calls them probably have never been vaccinated for anything like our kids are required to have. As reports appear about outbreaks of TB and other diseases in border territories we wonder. How safe are you and your families when we do not protect our borders? Just a thought.
