My boys were playing in an early version of a BeDe at the San Diego Aeronautical Museum on Sunday... the prop/pusher version...
It's setup so little kids can climb in and buckle up! Same with an A4 Skyhawk cockpit...
It's one heck of a little plane (BeDe)!

If I remember correctly the weak point of the prop version was the availability of the engine (a modified Honda I think). As for the jet, I think that the powerplant alone was in the $40k plus range (and the airframe kit was somewhere around $5k).

I got to see the Silver Bullet at an air show in Sussex NJ years ago. Because of it's size when it did a fly by..it looked like a giant scale RC with a JATO.......very cool!!
