Sessions says the legislation in the Senate will cost $50 Billion a year and that is based on the low numberof 10 - 12 million illegals, if the number is closer to what is believed -- 20 million then we are looking at $100 billion in costs.

Sessions says Frist is determined to move this forward no matter what, even without placing border control on the front burner of the bill -- which was originally promised.

Sessions is pressing a vote tomorrow and thinks more will vote against it than is currently being touted.... but right now this is s@rew the American People and vote for Business and Special Interest Groups ...

Dobbs shed some interesting light on the reason Fox chose to go to Utah first... and the roll the Gov of Utah and the Mormon Church are playing in immigration legislation. Also the GOP in Utah withdrew support for Rep Cannon because of him fighthing the POTUS on immigration.

"..but right now this is s@rew the American People"

No representation, at least by our Senators.. The Government has gone from whence we came... the House must stand.

The numbers of 11, 12, or 20 million is blatantly FALSE.
When and if the they ever come crawling out of the
woodwork and fully exposed, there'll be more,
like 30 million or more.

God bless both Jeff Sessions and Lou Dobbs. Yes, he said the budget estimate was on 6-7 million of an estimated 12. So it could easily double or even more. I thought Sessions, while promising nothing, almost seemed optimistic. The more I see him the more I like him. The man seems genuinely concerned about the will of the people without emoting or pandering.

"symbolic show of support"

Senators Back Plan to Send Guard to Border
NewsMax.com Wires
Tuesday, May 23, 2006

WASHINGTON -- The Senate, eager to stanch the flow of illegal immigrants, signaled overwhelming support Monday for President Bush's plan to dispatch National Guard troops to states along the Mexican border.

No tour of duty could last longer than 21 days and troops would be excluded from "search, seizure, arrest or similar activity." They would support the Border Patrol, which has primary responsibility for intercepting illegal immigrants.

The vote was 83-10 on an amendment by Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., to authorize governors to order their states' National Guard units to perform annual duty training in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California. Administration officials have said Bush has the authority needed to deploy the Guard, making the vote a largely symbolic show of support.

It's always hard to express clearly through a keyboard.

BTW I checked and Dobbs re-airs at 1 a.m. West Coast Time... 4 a.m. in the East.
