Governor Rutabaga (Richardson) is also running for re-election. He or his party has been involved in so many scandals that I have stopped posting articles about them. A federal jury starts deliberation on Monday for 20+ charges of bribery and corruption against the state treasurer, one of the Public Regulation Commissioners is likely to face similar charges. Richardson has created lots of new illegal positions for his political friends, so many that even some of the more responsible Dems have complained publicly (they are generally punished by Fat Bill vetoing needed projects for their districts). And the paper is always full of articles about his trips to Las Vegas for boxing bouts or other entertainment (when questioned about these or contributions from recently indicted lobbyists, Richardson pays for the trips or has the donations sent to charity). Richardson is as dirty as Clinton -- beware of MSM articles touting his fiscal responsibility. He is spending money faster and with new programs and projects than any other governor. His tax reductions (there have been some) are offset with other taxes or revenues from other areas. We are just lucky our oil and gas sectors are doing so well (though King Bill continually joins with the enviros to prohibit drilling in some very promising areas and drafts new regulations so restrictive so as to make drilling prohibitive even if they get permits from the Feds).

Lots of good info about Gov Rutabaga, most of which I was unfamiliar with. I wonder if you could line up those URLS and post them for those of us that missed the previous posts on the veritable potpourri of Corruption. That would be great....
