Elmo's boy?
Most likely, same name and middle initial as Admiral Elmo Zumwalt's younger son. The Admiral, whose wife was from Harbin China, but not Chinese, had two sons and two daughters. His oldest son, Elmo III, who like James, served in Vietnam, preceded him in death. The Admiral died 2 January 2000. Elmo III was a river patrol boat commander, in the Navy, while James was a Marine.
