Al-Qaida documents found (Al-Qaida docs: Iraqis don't support the cause)
Operation Iraqi Freedom ^ | May 9, 2006 | Multi-National Force--Iraq

Posted on 05/09/2006 10:30:58 PM PDT by sdk7x7

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition forces discovered a large amount of documents and videos ranging from plans to critiques, including al-Qaida in Iraq’s strategy in Baghdad during an April 16 raid in the Yusifiyah area.

The documents show how the terrorist organization lacks leadership, military capability and Iraqi support.

“This information confirms what the Government of Iraq, Coalition forces and ultimately the people of Iraq already know - that al-Qaida in Iraq’s role only attempts to impede Iraqis in following the road to prosperity, security and national unity,” said Brig. Gen. Rudy Wright, Multi-National Force – Iraq spokesman

After discovering these documents, the translated versions were sent to Coalition forces’ leadership for analysis.

The al-Qaida author of the “Baghdad Strategy” and the “Baghdad State of Affairs” is unknown, but officials think he is a significant leader within the terrorist organization.

The latter memorandum outlines al-Qaida terrorists in Iraq have no strategy, that the ‘…mujahideen are not considered more than a daily annoyance to the Shiite government…’, and that the ‘…mujahideen in Baghdad are generally groups of assassins without any organized military capabilities.’

According to the translated al-Qaida documents, the Mujahideen’s only power lies in surprise ‘hit and run’ attacks, or setting up explosive charges and booby traps that predominantly target civilian men, women and children.

“The actions of the Iraqi Security Forces are having a significant negative impact on the Mujahideen’s ability to operate in Baghdad. Al-Qaida in Iraq attacks Mosques and other public places to draw media attention and is having difficulty recruiting members because the people of Iraq do not support its cause,”said the author who translated the Baghdad State of Affairs document.

If only the Democrats would also concede defeat...

Why should they? They are winning?

Gee, you'd think the MSM would put some of their crack investigative reporters, who inspect every nosehair of every underling in DC, on this, you know, WAR we're involved with.

And then they'd, you know, report on the actions and failures of our enemies in this war.

I guess they're more interested in causing the defeat of a Republican-led war than they are in reporting the defeat of terrorist-led attacks on civilians in a growing democracy.

Imagine that! Iraqis won't support an organization that is committed to blowing as many of them as it can, to bits.

This is in direction conflict with the pap the Dems have been peddling.

***The documents show how the terrorist organization lacks leadership, military capability and Iraqi support. ***

That is because much of the main leadership is among the Dem party in the US and amongst the members of DUmmies.

Iraqis don't support the Al Qaeda cause..... too bad so many in the MSM and the Demagogic Party do!!!

We'd have wrapped this up a couple of years ago with far lower casualties if the international media had not done such a bang-up job serving as the propaganda arm of the jihadists.

Full translation of one of the documents at Centom.mil's page:

http://www.centcom.mil/sites/uscentcom1/Shared%20Documents/Extremist%20Page/What%20Extremists%20Say.aspx

"The strength of the brothers in Baghdad is built mainly on booby trapped cars, and most of the mujahidin groups in Baghdad are generally groups of assassin without any organized military capabilities.
There is a clear absence of organization among the groups of the brothers in Baghdad, whether at the leadership level in Baghdad, the brigade leaders, or their groups therein. Coordination among them is very difficult, which appears clearly when the group undertake a join operations
The policy followed by the brothers in Baghdad is a media oriented policy without a clear comprehensive plan to capture an area or an enemy center. Other word, the significance of the strategy of their work is to show in the media that the American and the government do not control the situation and there is resistance against them. This policy dragged us to the type of operations that are attracted to the media, and we go to the streets from time to time for more possible noisy operations which follow the same direction. "

===

NOTE their focus on playing to the media, which obligingly reports on this, just the way Al Qaeda likes it.

The NYT and The WaPo need to report this right away. We are winning. Surely this will go above the fold in the morning papers.

The Pali's wanted autonomy and got it. Israelis keep getting blown up......so why do we need to send the Pali's aid? Very few foreigners venture into their areas because it's a serious danger that the Pali's have created themselves. I think the US and its allies need to strip Arafat's family of its billions and give it back to the people the aid was meant for in the first place.

They are happily organizing demonstrations of Illegals then watching as "conservatives" attack the GOP. What could be better?

This statement from an official Al Qaeda document should cause every MSM weasel (those who dimly follow the lead of Al Qaeda to report only whatever Al Qaeda wants reported) to commit suicide (or at least be fired from all media work) - Al Qaeda knows that our media does their propaganda work, and Al Qaeda tailors its actions accordingly. When will the west WAKE UP????

We have to forget the media and work around them. It's the only way.

We have to use our e-mail lists and ask our friends to read the stuff we send and then use THEIR lists to forward the stuff on.

And we should be sending this stuff to our congresscritters and ask them why THEY aren't talking about this stuff.

It's a very odd strategy in that the groups who benefit are the socialists in Old Europe and Blue States who opposed the war...

...But it's a very unpopular strategy in Iraq, other Arab, Asian, and Persian lands...where even Osama Bin Laden has criticized Zarqawi's public beheadings, kidnappings, and targeting of Iraqi civilians.

It's as though Al Qaeda strategy was being developed and led by a former Communist who cared more about anti-U.S. goals than about winning in the Islamic world.

"When will the west WAKE UP????"
I know you have the answers in depth. The bright side is fewer goons can get in. And more are being taken out.
The are just a rag tag bunch of criminals with in most cases no military skills.
The video recently showing zman claming they are building an army is just to save face. It appears at this point as jmc1969 had basically pointed out a few weeks back, that probably more Iraqi killings are being done by the Sadr militia and Saddamist, and goons in the radical religious groups such as Ansar al-Islam then the al Qaeda Iraqi goons.
One thing that does appear to be changing is the big three alphabets are no longer harping on how terrible things are in Iraq, how a civil war is ragging on, etc.. They simply show the results of the blast, and move on to other news.
They realize at this point the gig is up. A new Iraqi government will soon take control. One of these days zman is going to be announced dead or captured. And when that happens they will start slipping in things like ... it appears the Iraqi forces now have a firm grip on the insurgency. They calculate just when to turn off the pressure, and become neutral.

Rather interesting take on things. Lest we forget about how the ruskies coached Arafat during his learning to perfecting terrorist tactics?
All these radicalized Islamic states as you well understand for a long time where under sway of the Russians. The world of Islam was rather quiet prior to the Nazis and then Commies moving in and molding them. We now see the fruit those rotten devils seeded many years back.
