I will gladly vote for any conservative Republican candidate that respects the sanctity of life, the 2nd Amendment, and the security and sovereignty of our borders.
If they don't meet those requirements (and the likely Senate nominee in NJ, Tom Kean Jr., does not), I will probably stay home or vote Constitution Party.
And I hope you sleep well at night knowing the knife you will have stuck in the back of every U.S. solider fighting in the current war.
Because that is exactly what you will be doing by allowing your personal narrow politics to override the reality of putting the anti-military, anti-American, anti-WOT democrats into a majority.
There are times (plenty of times) when it is fine to walk away from one's party over a conflict regarding one's personal politics....this is clearly not one of those times.
It is time to cowboy the F up and stand shoulder to shoulder with this CIC while he leads our soldiers in this war. Come hell or high water.
08 is the time to take your personal political fight to the primaries.
I agree with your sentiment. Since Frist is not standing for re-election, there are at least three Republicans running for his seat; two good conservatives and one RINO. If the RINO gets the nomination by some means, I will not vote for him or his 'Rat opponent, most likely Harold Ford Jr. of the incredibly corrupt Memphis Fords.
Your right my Friend but we need to stand to Togeather we can not afford to have spilit in our party my state of wv has been under the thumb of the Dems for 80 years now we must support and become a party of one,
Why don't you take it somewhere ....well, anywhere but here
"I will gladly vote for any conservative Republican candidate that respects the sanctity of life, the 2nd Amendment, and the security and sovereignty of our borders."
I'd only change one thing about what you said.
I will gladly vote for any Conservative candidate of ANY Party that respects the sanctity of life, the 2nd Amendment and the security and sovereignty of our borders.
D, R, I or C by their names makes no difference to me. I won't vote for a liberal of any stripe or from any party.
"I will probably stay home or vote Constitution Party."
I think I will join you. Jim Talent is not a Conservative by any stretch of the imagination. He has, too many times, voted the RINO way and I cannot in good conscience vote for him again.
I am also sick of people telling me that I have to vote Republican just to keep a majority. I am not voting for a party, but my principles and ideology. I will not sell either out for any party, I don't care which one it is.
