I remember someone here a few days ago saying that it was impossible to do. Looks like they were wrong. ANyone have info on how this works?
Very interesting if they actually caused this to happen.
Could it have been "Yellow Rain"?
What's that?
Use to be common in Calif to attempt this during drought years (talking about in the 1960s now).

Don't Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It's Raining ...
Big frikken deal...we invented Viagra.
Sounds like way too little to make a difference in precip doposit rates. The US has been researching cloud seeding since...oh I don't know at latest 1950's. The idea is to disperse a particulate into a water vapor dense cloud to cause the condensation of water onto the silver particles. I'm no expert, but it seems like it's hit or miss science at best.
We can all relax. Now we know the real innocent purpose of all those missiles we thought were pointed at Taiwan. Maybe the liberals will use this as another excuse to back off from our implementing anti-ballistic-missile defense.
Wow. All I can say is, "wow".
"Yellow rain" is what Iraqi Kurdish villages called it when Saddam used gas on them.
A study to consider the possibilities and techniques for controlling the weather for military purposes. De-classified.
A chapter in a book "Yellow River", by I. P. Freely.
We had 4 inches in about an hour Thursday Night, 2.5 inches and hail that woke us up early this morning and more threatening nor.
No mas(at least for a while).
That might explain why the weather in interior Alaska is beginning to deteriorate. Maybe it will rain, which would be a plus, but the growing season is non-existent so far.
This guy has been all over it for some time: http://www.weatherwars.info/index.php
Here's what the skies will look like from time to time during the rain-making, rain-preventing, and rain-shifting processes:
The theory of silver iodide seeding says that if you disperse particles in the cloud, water vapor will condense into droplets, producing rain. Old technology, tried in America in the 1950s.The theory that it's impossible to control the weather simply says that you cannot predict the weather, so you cannot know the effects of (what you fondly hope are) your interventions. You seeded and it rained? Great! Would it have rained more if you hadn't seeded? You really don't know.
