By failing to secure our borders and enforce existing laws (both roles of the Executive), the current administration is facilitating the demise of our republic. What does it matter if the Democrats preside over a country that geographically used to be the US? The pioneering spirit that created our republic will be resurrected somewhere else, just like it always has throughout history.

I'd rather vote third party that supports my ideals. Think of it how you will, my vote is my voice and if I keep supporting dead-fish RINO's, the RNC will think that's what we all want and keep backing them.

Well, not completely. We have knocked off incumbent RINOs in GOP primaries. It ain't easy, but it can be done.
Admitedly, the further up the food chain you go, the tougher it is.
At the federal level, the advantages that incumbents have voted themselves, and their natural access to big money, make them almost invulnerable.
But knocking off RINOs at the state legislative level is dang near like shooting fish in a barrel, if you have a good candidate, modest resources, and execute a good campaign plan.
Let's say the Republican Party had a platform that was exactly as you wanted it to be, and they could only get 35-40% of the electoral votes and lost every election that mattered?
Would you be content to remain forever on the outside looking in?
Or would you try to be a little more inclusive right up to the point of winning Presidential elections by the slimmest possible margins?
Or something else?

I agree with you. I'll work to fire R's that voted for the Prescription Drug Benefit, supported McCain/Feingold, and voted for the latest pork laden highway bill. Unfortunately, by not supporting the most serious offenders, I'm not really left with many Republicans that I can support.

How could we tell the difference? It's not the 13 or 18% FR members digging the hole. More accurately, it's the Republicans digging their own grave.

It's one thing to take a poll and voice your anger, it's another to step into the voting booth and vote for a rat. My worry is all the people saying they want or will vote third party... to a lot of us, Ross Perot immediately comes to mind.... were it not that I think a new, conservative party would be wonderful and could pull at least 1/3 of the votes -- but, therein lies the rub -- if only 1/3 of the vote we could once again throw an election to a Clinton.
Indeed there are, especially for Congress.
There is a solid conservative majority in the House that are well worth supporting with our money, our time and our energy.
And they're up every two years.
Yeah, I didn't say I like the current state of affairs, just that I am not suicidal.
I'm pretty lucky that my representatives are dependably conservative, so they will almost certainly continue to get my vote. That is, unless they falter and go for some kind of pseudo-amnesty travesty similar to what the President seems to want. There's no way I'll vote for them after that. That kind of surrender will not be rewarded. I've seen my community go to Hell in just five-to-ten short years because of the invasion of illegals. There's no way on earth I'll grant my vote to a politician that continues to facilitate not only the lawlessness, but the very destruction of our country and its culture. Heck, what's the use of fighting Islamofascist nut-jobs wanting to destroy our country, when so many of our own politicians are tossing it in the garbage can themselves?
I will never vote for a liberal, but I am not going to vote for people who damage our nation by not securing our borders and by running up the debt. Why should I participate in voting for the lesser of two evils? I know the old slower train wreck arguement, but I am fed up with Republicans who are warped by the power they have become part of. I don't particularly like libertarians, but if I do vote, I will vote for the conservate. If there isn't one, then I will skip that line.
The US has had the luxury of not getting seriously damaged in WWI or WWII. While the rest of the modern world destroyed itself, the US could establish itself as the world's economic superpower. We don't have that luxury anymore. Democrats coming to power will possibly mean the end of the US as the best country in the world and barring another world war that excludes us, we may never recover.
In the old days, we could recover from the democrat idiots like Jimmy Carter, because we had a cushion to work with. We simply do not have room for errors anymore.
