CIA Director Porter Goss abruptly resigned yesterday amid allegations that he and a top aide may have attended Watergate poker parties where bribes and prostitutes were provided to a corrupt congressman.

WASHINGTON - CIA Director Porter Goss abruptly resigned yesterday amid allegations that he and a top aide may have attended Watergate Tupperware parties where free "burp" containers and "no scratch" cutting boards were provided to a corrupt congressman.

Dusty Rhodes, the No. 3-selling Tupperware representative in the Beltway, could soon be indicted in a widening FBI investigation of the parties thrown by Tupperware contractor Ineeda Leigh.

A CIA spokeswoman said Ms. Rhodes went to the lavish weekly hospitality-suite parties at the Watergate and Westin Grand hotels but "just for the Bud Light."

Intelligence and law enforcement sources said solid evidence had yet to emerge that Goss also went to the parties, but Goss and Ms. Rhodes share a fondness for Tupperware extended sets and cheap Ginsu knives, and the FBI investigation was continuing.

Ben Dover, a former CIA operative and a Bush administration critic, said Goss "had a relationship with Dusty and with Ineeda Leigh that's now coming under greater scrutiny."

Dover vouched for the integrity of Rhodes and Goss but said, "Dusty was a big Tupperware purchaser, and it's my understanding that Porter Goss was also there \[at Leigh's parties\] for some air-tight containers. It's going to be guilt by association."

"Supposedly the large-scale Tupperware purchases was the last straw," the source said [speaking of Goss' resignation]. "This administration may be on the verge of a major scandal."

Notice that the cited "Intelligence and law enforcement sources" turn out to be the America-hating pathological liar Larry Johnson, and a unnamed "senior law enforcement official" and an unnamed "congressional source."

Assuming the latter two even exist, how would any of these people know what is going on at the highest reaches of the CIA?

Johnson vouched for the integrity of Foggo and Goss but said, "Dusty was a big poker player, and it’s my understanding that Porter Goss was also there [at Wilkes’ parties] for poker. It’s going to be guilt by association."

How hilarious. Who is making the "guilt by association?" argument but Larry Johnson? And he does so after first "vouching" for Foggo and Goss.

Who is Larry Johnson to vouch for anybody?

Johnson worked at the CIA for less than four years more than twenty-two years ago. Johnson doesn’t know any of these people, and I’m sure they don’t know him–except for as a crackpot.

But Johnson is a self-proclaimed expert on all subjects and persons who ever passed through Langley. (And of course he is a bosom buddy of both Valerie Plame and Mary McCarthy.)

This is simply the ravings of the usual hate-America crowd and their fellow travelers in our one party media. They are trying to besmirch an honorable man. (After all, Goss fired one of their own, Mary McCarthy.)

The purported Kyle Foggo "scandal" is old news. He is childhood friends with Brent Wilkes, a lobbyist who had dealings with Duke Cunningham. How horrible.

According to Wikipedia:

CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said it is "standard practice" for the inspector general to look into allegations involving agency officers. "That should in no way be seen as lending credibility to any allegation."

But it’s all they’ve got on Goss. And they can’t pass up a chance to fling feces.

All political dynasties, no matter their composition, eventually lose their will to power. This becomes evident when its personnel lose the self discipline that power requires.

If this story is true, it's not just plain stupid on the part of Goss, it is a symptom that perhaps the will to power has faded for the Bush Administration. This is also evident in the President's unwillingness to aggressively deal with the immigration issue.
