No one suggested that you place all your faith,or your whatever, in a particular political party. That would be insane.
The suggestion really revoves around adopting a working model of behavior based on realistic objectives and a positive expectation of good outcomes along with a little faith in a concept known as "Almighty God".
It even sounds a little strange as I read it myself but hope you will seriously consider it. I hear that our founding fathers thought it was a pretty neat way to go.
