It isn't fair, you see.

Only liberal, female professors know what's correct and incorrect in this mundane world of ours. If you don't believe that, just ask them. For a nickel, they will argue you into a corner(or try to), and take great delight in the exercise.

The good news: Most of the kids they're preaching to in their classes won't end up liberals.

“Students have complained regularly about substandard teaching from faculty who appear to have gained positions via political connections based on irrelevant matters like lifestyle.

Hmmmmm... I wonder what THAT means?

i have a HS junior and she is solid as a rock. she attends an all girls Catholic HS, which is not remotely conservative. She took on another student (chris Matthew's daughter, truth be told)in a debate in religion class last year at election time about how you can't be Catholic and in favor of abortion. A few weeks back, she did a religion project on Project Rachel, which is a ministry to women who have had abortions and who are heartbroken about them. the teacher is a phD in religion, the woman LOVED my daughter's project and said she had never heard of such a program. Ok, we were happy she got an A but ASTOUNDED that a woman with a doctorate in religion, teaching at a Catholic school, had never heard of Project Rachel.

bottom line, your kid will be fine if you have schooled them properly and they can influence others. We want a semi-conservative school for her for college, not because she can't hold her own among the left wing, just because it would be nice to have a few friends with the same mindset. good luck to your daughter, Merry, i bet she does great at the Rock ; )

I assume it means they're partial to other lesbians.

Female faculty members’ preference for hiring more female faculty members, simply because they are female, is also a concern of Levy’s.

Hmmm, let's change the name of the college, Slippery Rock, to Slippery C*ck and watch those women whine.

My daughters are much like yours: islands of thought in a mindless liberal sea at their high school. My eldest is headed off to college this fall. She chose Santa Clara University, and I am cautiously optimistic. It seems to have a pretty solid core requirement which includes courses in religion. My daughter had to demonstrate her readiness for a calculus course by taking a pre-entrance exam. It looks like they are actually serious about education there. A number of their professors are Jesuits; and although we are not Catholic, I have long respected the Jesuit commitment to education. We shall see. I intend to exert influence over her course selection for as long as possible.

That reminds me.

When my younger sister was in elementary school (during the 2000 campaign she was 10 years old) she made a patriotic doodle that she put under the cover of her notebook that said "Bush is cool".

My mom also told me that her class had a mock election and George Bush won.
