I'm with you...last month I wrapped up being an alternate on a three week trial; got sent home to stand by for the possibility of a callback during deliberations.

By day three of deliberations, I knew - having of course heard every second of testimony, but not one word of the juror arguments - that there had to be at least one sympathetic holdout. I was right; I finally got the call from the court clerk that it was a hung jury.

He's gonna live. You're right--they took waaaay too much time. Had to look up "aggravated" in the dictionary?!?

Anybody want to start rioting when they read the verdict?
