L.A. FOX 11 Tony Valdez - "You killed people to take this country for yourselves" (Audio #289)
John and Ken show ^ | 5-1-06 | dfu

Posted on 05/01/2006 6:26:27 PM PDT by doug from upland

Local Fox News in Los Angeles, Channel 11, had an incredible exchange in a segment with John and Ken. J & K were chastizing the press for not showing the other side about all the costs of illegal aliens.

There was a difference of opinion between FOX personnel and John and Ken about the effect of the boycott.

And then there was an amazing statement, actually a monologue for news reporter Tony Valdez. Rather than posing a question to John and Ken, he launched into the whole Reconquista argument, talking about Manifest Destiny and U.S. invasion of Mexico in 1846. He talked about how this country took this part of the world by force and how they do that in Iraq and Iran.

And then this news reporter, news reporter mind you, said, "You took this country. You killed people to take this country for yourselves."

Fox 11 needs to hear from us.

John and Ken taped it. We'll be hearing more about this, I'm sure. I heard it, too. Valdez came on at the end of the interview. I also thought it was one of the on-scene protesters, but it was not.

Well they're overplaying their hand and as ForceofOne said, to paraphrase "we hold all the cards." If Congress capitulates to loud mouthed foreign nationals here illegally they may just overplay their hand for once.

Once illegals gain the political power to change our laws, its too late.

At that point we will have a Civil War. There are far too many assets within the southwest that are owned by U.S. citizens and foreign interests. Federal troops within the reconquista state will obey the President, not the Governor. It will be state police, state gang bangers, Mexican Troops, La Raza guerrillas and possibly a few national guard against a well funded U.S. military. Will be over in days.

This is definitely one of those "don't get me started" moments, or else what will come out of my fingers will get me banned.

Behold our enemy. He might as well be one of Saddam's henchmen.

I wonder when Newsmax will put out another deck of cards with these buttheads on them?

What about those of us who are of both European AND American Indian heritage?

Yeah, what about us? I'm from Choctaw, Cherokee, English and German ancestry. I was raised as an American. I never heard my family say, "You people" of any group (be they native American or European) as if they weren't a part of America.

I kept in mind today what you had said about letting the force of the enemy rebound on itself, or backfire as it were.

Also, I can tell you the noticeable absence of Mexicans/latinos/illegals from the public arena today left quite a few Americans and OTMs in view, going about business and pleasure quite peaceably and easily. Just the right amount of people in the store, in the mall, driving, walking, shopping, etcetera.

The lack of crowdedness, the lack of sub-standard vehicles, of crowded bus stops and crowded buses, the lack of leaf blower pollution, all equalled a profound lack of stress. I loved it.

I knew Valdez was an open borders guy but I didn't realize he was a radical leftist.

Of course, he's right at home working for a Fox affiliate ...

Hi SC - There is another one that always makes my blood boil. It was the Black Bean Massacre, following the Mier Expedition. Took place outside of La Grange, (q.v. ZZ Top, "Best Little Whorehouse," et al), where I spent a lot of time long ago.

25 March 1843 -- Seventeen Texans were executed in what became known as the Black Bean Episode, which resulted from the Mier Expedition, one of several raids by the Texans into Mexico.

I'm not good at condensing anything. Let's see--there were 169 Texians who had been captured and held for two months, marched into Mexico -- to Hacienda Salado -- through Saltillo, force-marched 20 miles per day, chained together. It was horrible. I believe they were marched all the way to Mexico City, and then all the way back up to this place, hundreds of miles.

Santa Anna sent orders for the "diezma" which meant that the Mexicans were to execute every 10th man. The method was to be by drawing beans from a pot. They put 17 black beans and 152 white beans into the jar.

The men were blindfolded and told to draw a bean; those drawing a black one would be shot immediately. They had the officers draw first.

The Mexicans, as Mexicans will sometimes do, cheated and put all the white beans in the clay pot, which was buried in the ground with just the opening showing. Then they just placed all the black beans on top. No stirring or shaking was done.

The first officer figured that out and dug down deep, drawing a white bean. Whispers to the other officers told them to dig deep. Eventually, only one officer was executed. The men who drew black beans were allowed to write one letter home.

On Monument Hill, their names are listed on a large marker and copies of the letters have been passed down to the Texas State Archives. They will break your heart.
