Wouldn't have mattered. We beat them militarily, tunnels and all. They beat us on SeeBS, NBC, and ABC, and in the halls of Congress, particularly the Democratic cloakrooms. Their most effective weapons were Walter Cronkite, John Kerrey, Jane Fonda, and other fellow travelers.
