All my life, I believed in Republican values -- individual responsibility and limited government. Then it happened; I found myself with a small child, unemployed and disabled. I turned to my church, and after years of regular tithes, suddenly I just wasn't their problem. My Republican friends? I was now a pariah to them.
My only relief was to turn to government assistance for housing, food, and other needs and I was able to survive with dignity.
So chalk me up as one who no longer drinks the GOP koolaid.
"Fabulist" is polite . . .
1. I don't believe you, but I'll ask some questions and make some points as if you're the real deal.
2. Why isn't the father standing by you?
3. Sounds like the problem is not with conservatism, but with your church.
4. In my experience, churches who are big on tithing are also big on biblical faithfulness, so the "I tithe but my church doesn't believe in helping the poor" story rings very false.
5. Perhaps the most important point: You obviously don't have a clue what conservatives believe about your situation, because you're exactly the kind of person government safety nets are for. Granted, the ideal is for private charities to take care of every need, but if we're going to have government programs, then people like you are the ones that would be perfectly justified using them. Condemnation of dependency-creating, soul stealing, violence-feeding welfare programs and the creep politicians who exploit them is not the same as wanting a disabled person to be homeless and starving, you poor twit.
Potential? LOL!
Potential UT for May maybe.
Keep'em coming!
I quit the GOP after they forced the elderly to eat dog food, and lit their Cuban cigars with $100 bills.
(Diabolical laughter and twirling of the handlebar mustache)
Thanks for letting us play!
:-)
Write again after a piano falls on your head and you are run over by a cement truck. Then we'll no for sure that you did something very bad.
I zot at you. I zot at you. I zot at you.
You said -- "Too late, she finally got the Zot."
Well, she can still read the comments -- and if she wants to -- she can sign up again under a new name and perhaps discuss things a little bit more. But, that would be presuming that it's true and not a "hit and run" post.

Two words: Stephen Hawking.
If this "SaraF" person were the real deal, she would not be made undignified by her dependency. Instead, she would be made undignified by her whining and her likely refusal to try to rise above the challenge of her disability. Compare that with Hawking, who depends on the care of other people to live, but never complains about his condition and has spent decades working on real contributions to humanity.
Yes, I know Hawking's care is paid for by him holding down a real job, but I think my point is still valid. If "SaraF" was bedridden and on welfare and spent all her time knitting sweaters for Romanian orphans, she'd be more dignified than just about the entire "gainfully employed" White House Press Corps.
And let me guess, it was the devil that drove you to sign on at a conservative site post your frustrations?
So chalk me up as one who no longer drinks the GOP koolaid.
I'm almost apprehensive to ask what it is you do drink....
They probably never liked you to begin with, and just hung out with you out of pity. When you became a no-good bum begging for money, they decided to cut you loose.
She's just $10 away from being freed of her welfatre entanglements and busting Diebold.
They asked me to tell you they hope you like government cheese, but please make sure you're not holding it right now...
LOL!
That violin sure is small.
Who is it playing for?
Some advice -
1. Put the child up for adoption. The child and you will both be better off. Please don't condemn your child to a life of dependence on government
2. No more sex until you are married to a guy who can support you
3. Get real skills
4. Get a real job
5. Go back to Church and ask for forgiveness
6. Learn about what Conservatives and some republicians are really about
What did you expect your friends to do? Support you in style for the rest of your life. We taxpayers are supporting you, and we are glad to do it, if you are for real.
Quit whining, and Z O T !!
