The $100 rebate has got to be one of the most ridiculous ideas on the table. If the govt forced the oil companies to lower their prices by at least a $1.00 makes more sense.
If someone is blaming their problems on someone else, you can bet that person is a Democrat.
The GOP needs to grow some balls, and make it quite clear to the people that the Democrats are responsible for this problem, by having stonewalled refinery building and domestic oil expansion for decades.
Why are we not hearing this from the idiots that infest the current Republican Party?

The oil companies' 8.3% profit isn't driving-up the cost of gas. It's the damned gov't - fed and state - taxes which are doing the increases.
