You are going to say "Look, he's fighting the war on terror." Yes. We are. But, if that's all Bush carries to his legacy that legacy will be even thinner than his father's.

LOL!! Amateur historians, calling Bush a failure even though he's freed 50 million Muslims.

"But one thing we can't lose sight of is that we are talking about human beings, decent human beings."

The current Senate immigration proposal would NOT exclued felons from the amnesty. Dingy Harry Reid killed that bill to prevent amendments that would exclude felons.

"Amnesty" isn't the confusing word, we all understand the word, it's that deceitful little word "is" that presents the trickery, as in: amnesty "is".

I believe we know exactly what the meaning of "is" is this time, it's "si" written backwards.

You obviously haven't read many polls then. Most Americans do want illegal aliens deported. And, yes, they do support a guest worker program.

I see very few posts calling for Bush's impeachment. But, he has been a failure as a President from a Conservative perspective. He is the biggest spender since LBJ. He hasn't vetoed one spending bill. He has left our children with a massive federal deficit which continues to grow. He has refused to protect our borders from invasion. And in Iraq where he proclaimed victory years ago and spent approximately 320 Billion dollars, solders and civilians are still dying. He instituted a massive socialist prescription drug program. His approval ratings are extremely low and he is dragging down the GOP with him. It is President Bush that is a blight on the GOP.

We'd get in big trouble for answering that question honestly, Wolfcreek. How about just a grin of agreement and a wink.

I seldom listen to Neil Boortz, but I caught a bit yesterday when he tried to pin down a caller as to how it would be physically possible to deport 11 million illegals. The caller started by claiming it could be done "1000 at a time" in "vans and trucks." Boortz asks, "what will you do when the Mexican government refuses to allow our trucks to cross the border?" So the caller starts talking about dropping them off in the middle of the Rio Grande.

Boortz just pinned this guys ears back to the point of hilarity.

I'm a Reagan Republican, not a Heston Republican.
During Reagan's first campaign, he asked us voters "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?" Back then the answer was DEFINITLY NO! Since then whenever I get to a major political crossroads where I can voice my opinion, I think of the state of the status quo, and am always faced with this same question. Since Reagan originally asked that question, my answer has always been yes, not because each president since Reagan has taken care of us, but because Reagan inspired me to stand up on my own feet and make a better life for myself by not depending on our government to care for us. Today my answer to Reagan's question is once again Yes. Do we have 12 million illegal aliens living among us, making a living, raising their families and for some breaking our laws (not including immigration laws of course)? Yes. Would we be better off if they all left peacefully? Maybe, maybe not. Would we be better off if it took a bloody civil war to move them back out of our country? No, only a Heston Republican would want that kind of blood on their hands, until their hands are red and they realize what they have done.
We have already absorbed most of the problems created by these 12 million and are still a great country that is now face with an opportunity to turn this into a huge moral, religious and ecconomic plus.

It's not the duty of we the people of this nation to explain to the likes of Boortz or even our well paid servants in DC,who sat on their collective @$$e$ and allowed the invasion to happen, how to deport 12 million illegal aliens.

It is our duty to tell them that if they are too d@mn stupid or too lazy or too pro-invasion to fix the problem they created, we will fire their @$$e$ and hire people who can.

You are not an American, are you? I care more about American than Muslims. Apparent Bush is the opposite.

"...we will fire their @$$e$ and hire people who can."

Best wishes. I think it's a pipe dream. Finding viable candidates to carry out your dream seems about as realistic as deporting 11 million illegals.

Which American would that be? Seriously, I believe President Bush showed how much he cares about America by waging war against Islamotarianism.

You give yourself away with that perspective.

Except that the people you want to hire (by voting out Republicans) would be Democrats.

You think Democrats are going to repatriate 12 million illegals?

Do you even know what's involved in repealing a constitutional amendment?

You'd have better luck flying to the moon by flapping your arms than repealing the 14th amendment.
