How could an illegal alien pay into SS when you have to be a citizen or legally authorized alien to do so? ( How do I replace a lost Social Security card?)

Big deal. I pay taxes on my purchases when I visit other countries LEGALLY with my passport stamped for a visit. That doesn't confer any rights of citizenship in the countries I'm visiting. Paying taxes as an illegal invader doesn't entitle you to rights of citizenship either. There is a correct way to immigrate and become a citizen. The laws are already on the books. It's time to enforce them.

The issue of whether illegal aliens contribute more than they cost is constantly being used in this debate but it really does not matter at all. In this country, the people get to decide public policy on illegal immigration. That is what "republican" self-government is all about. The fact is that the lawful citizens of this country have decided this issue long ago and this decision againt illegal immigration is now and has been expressed in our laws for decades. The ignoring of these democratically enacted laws for decades by our elected officials is nothing less than a revolt by the political elites and their corporate clients and handlers against the sovereignty of the people.

Also, I do not agree for one moment with your economic arguments for allowing illegal immigration. Everything does not come down to economics afterall. One murder of an American citizen, or any crime for that matter, conducted by a person who is here illegally and against whom our government was obligated to protect us is already too much crime. This nation was founded to establish self-government, not to ensure the largest tax revenues possible!

I have no idea of where you're going with your argument but it sure DOESN'T help the illegals.

1. That $6.4 Billion equates to a stinking $1,684.21 per year which equates a GROSS income of a 'whopping' (sarcasm intended) $27,165.00 per year, or $522.40 a week for 52 weeks.
   
2. Your 'source' was the NY Times which isn't credible on any matter.
   
3. Sales taxes. SO WHAT?!? With a GROSS Income of $27K there isn't a lot of money left to be buying anything. Ergo the 'They Pay Sales Tax' pitch doesn't fly as paying sales taxes on nothing = nothing.

Again, I don't know what your point was, but it reads like DEPORT these LEECHES on society yesterday.

So tell me Mr. Gonzalez(I assume that is your real name), how do you pay Social Security tax when the only SSN you posses is some dead guy's? Most taxes are paid by legal citizens. How does one pay SS tax when one doesn't have a SSN?
