Natalia Delgado, a former Caltrans employee and prominent community activist passed away in 1991, but her legacy continues to live on. Did you know that Delgado is the mother of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa?(snip)
Delgados unique gift as a community leader lives on through her children: Antonio Villaraigosa, Mary Lou Villar, Debra Villar and Rob Delgado. Friends noted that Delgado raised her four children largely by herself, and all four grew up to be "over achievers." She would be very proud that her son Antonio is now mayor of the City of Los Angeles.
Mountain View woman (lesbian) appointed to Santa Clara County Superior judgeship
I count 7 republicans and 3 dems on the press release page of the Gub web site for yesterday.
We should have the President making more visits , not less, but there is always next week to reverse what has hardly been a trend to appoint those more closely attuned to one's political persuasuion, after all.. or is he when he appoints as many dems as he has?
Some conservative action hero Arnold is. He's appointing liberals to the courts so the teacher unions and La Raza groups won't atttack him for the 2006 election.
Why is he appointing Superior Court judges for L.A.? In San Diego they come up for a vote.
