I agree with kabar's point, but might modify the above to "politization of the Pentagon bureaucracy and senior officers, CIA, and the diplomatic corps." Would that be more accurate?
I've seen nothing to indicate that the ranks are being politicized. But the folks in the offices with the funny angles? Just look at all of the "political komisars" that got promoted by the Klintons.

The Dems have been recruiting retired military officers at the Col. and LTC level to run in the 2006 elections. They want anyone at any rank who criticizes the war and the Bush administration.
