Had it not been for that unjust war,

Wow, good thing a Democrat had nothing to do with getting the U.S. into that war . . .

nothing unless you want to count FDR, Truman, JFK, and Johnson.

Anybody got a mirror for this latter-day Quixote? Her idea of a, "long, sustained scream," is nothing compared to what we'd hear the moment reality hits home and her victimology gets pointed in the right direction.

And before anybody starts jumping in, sure, I'll concede Nixon's group screwed up the solution, but by then the can was wide open and the worms were turning. I think Nixon's mistake was not just unleashing the dogs and letting them off the porch to finish the mess our little French buddies had sucked us into.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but from that picture it appears the only things that woman owns are a computer, an angry scowl, and a glass of wine.

And I'm sure she has a large bottle of Merlot readily available to keep that glass of wine always more than half full.

I wonder what Maryscott O'Connor's DU screen name is?

Seriously, Democratic Underground is filled with angry, hateful people like Maryscott. I stopped lurking at DU a long time ago because I couldn't stand reading the DUmmies hateful and insane posts.

The modern Left substitutes rage in place of positive policy ideas...because they have no positive ideas for the U.S.

They want the nuclear family destroyed; gay parents, gay children, aborted children, children out of wedlock, children from multiple fathers, children with multiple mothers, children with different last names than their parents, government raising children without parents via welfare and rules and programs, etc.

They want higher taxes. They want France to determine our foreign policy. They want to surrender to radical Islamics who would put them in burkhas.

They'd gladly fight a Republican, but they'd never fight a terrorist.

They want to put as many obstacles as possible in the way of our economy such as banning nuclear power, mandating various ever-changing blends of fuel, banning drilling for new fuel, banning refining new fuel, banning new home construction (e.g. "urban sprawl"), banning smoking in restaurants, etc.

If it damages our society (e.g. recreational drugs) then they are for it; if it benefits our society (e.g. border control) then they are against it.

Pause

But they can't very well run on a political platform of the above.

They can't win the Heartland by banning guns and holding "have an abortion at my house" slumber parties for their teenagers.

And they aren't going to change.

So this leaves them without any expressed, admitted, public policy ideas.

In other words, it leaves them with rage. President Bush is bad if he jails Saddam Hussein and he's bad if he ignores North Korea. If Bush cures cancer they'll b!tch that he didn't cure AIDs.

Pick *any* daily news headline and the modern Left will spin it such that it's Bush's fault.

It's all that they've got.

Nailed

The Washington Post writer had never been to a Blog before he decided to write this piece! How the hell would he know what was going on?

Hard to believe she's only 37. She's younger than me and my wife. I guess all that hatred ages you.

All I hear in this is her poor little old me sniveling crap. She knows nothing of Viet Nam or the sacrifice her father made. It's too bad that he didn't father a child who would honor his memory.
She has taken a big dump on all American solders. She is a worthless POS who can't see past herself and even begin to consider the tens of millions of people we have set free in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Lets not confuse her with truth and fact.

She also has a pack of Benson & Hedges-I'm sure Bush made her take up smoking.

Someone pour her another wine.

I'm betting she is clutching Valium tightly in her hand to go with it.

Not that long ago, it was the right that was angry and the left that was, at least comparatively, polite.

Not that long ago? Hmmmm, well as far as I can remember back in my lifetime, back to the 60's, liberals have always been rude and disrespectful. I think the thing that has always driven me craziest about liberals is they can't have a respectful discussion. They always treat you with a patronizing air, like you are less intelligent than they are, and more often than not they come right out and tell you that you just aren't smart enough to understand everything that they understand and you are allowing yourself to be lead around by someone else.

Not that long ago, it was the right that was angry and the left that was, at least comparatively, polite.

Mr. Finkle seems to have a short memory span. The left's in-your-face rage didn't start with Bush. Recall their obscene antics during Vietnam. But this latest iteration began with the GOP victory in the 1994 elections.

Harken back to late 1994: Newt was giving his first speech after Republicans had taken over the House. As he started speaking a bunch of loud protesters from ACORN burst into the room, yelling and marching until he had to abandon the podium. (ACORN is---was?---some federally funded homeless advocacy group. They bused people in for this "event".).

Since then we've seen Code Pink sneaking into the GOP convention and interupting Bush's acceptance speech. Or when Dem staffers gave Code Pink passes to the inaugural sitting right in front of the president. Again they stood on their chairs and disrupted his speech.

Polite? Such antics used to be beyond my imagining. It's inconceivable people would behave that way---in public!.

Don't call them "The Angry Left". Call them "Sore Losers"...or, better yet...

"SORE LOSERMANS"!

For the terminally dysfunctional, temporary relief comes in the form of being able say that everything that goes wrong in their lives is----BUSH'S fault!

Did I read this right? She started before sunrise and was still at it when her son came home from school?!!! If she had done anything else in the interim (house cleaning, grocery shopping,...) I think the reporter would have put it in. She apparently sat there ALL DAY wallowing in the swill. Sick, sick, sick.

"One long, sustained scream" is how she describes the writing she does for various Web logs...

Paraphrased: "I'm an overgrown 2-year-old having a temper tantrum. And I'm bragging about it."

The left has never been known for their communication skills.

Not a pretty picture.

It reminds me of the LIBERAL meltdown after the last presidential election.

I guess it hasn't cooled off.
