I was born and raised a Catholic, and I remember in the early 70's our Church supported a boycott of produce in support of Ceasar Chavez... I was about 8 at the time, but I remember my Mom making a big deal about not buying lettuce.

I don't know much about the religion, one of my wives was a Catholic, we never discussed Church dogma, though. :):)
