The Fence
by Hugh Hewitt
April 6, 2006 09:05 AM PST
I am told by Hill sources the Senate compromise does indeed include the fence, which will make it a huge win for the Majority Leader. Seriousness on security and the immigration problem looking forward threads the needle and gives Bill Frist a big win to match Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney's...if the fence is real and makes it through conference.

You can always count on Hewitt to spin things in favor of GOP leadership.

Hey, if there's a fence that's funded, and solid penalties for employers who violate hiring laws, I honestly could live with a limited "amnesty".

"I am told by Hill sources the Senate compromise does indeed include the fence"

What difference does a fence make? Everyone here illegally can stay, and then 400,000 more a year can come legally as guest workers. The remaining ones can just walk around the fence and buy documents saying they've been here for 6 years.

Total and complete FRAUD.
