Can we stop pretending that 16 year olds are children. They aren't children, they are adults. They are still stupid, but they aren't impressionable 6 year olds. 16 year olds drive, have relationships with the opposite sex, work jobs, make decisions like where to go to college. If you can't trust your kid not to go on a murder streak when you aren't watching them 24/7 then you failed as a parent.

Do you really think it should be illegal for a 17 year old to buy a Ghost Recon video game (Ironically a French and Canadian companies makes a really good game about American troops saving the world), when in 6 months he'd be old enough to actually join the Army and kill real people?

Utah found a way to do it.
HB 257 passed overwhelmingly (56-8) by a vote in the Utah House of Representatives. The bill adds violent games to the Child Pornography law. It will be a felony for an adult to provide a minor the Grand Theft Auto video game.
