It is time churches lose their not for profit status.No it isn't. It is time for those clergy to be disciplined by their churches. They are way out of line, and an embarassment to the rest of us.

It is time for those clergy to be disciplined by their churches. They are way out of line, and an embarassment to the rest of us. Who's going to discipline a Roman Catholic Cardinal, especially when it's very likely that Pope Benedict XVI agrees with him?
Churches have long advocated for their people and moral positions, and will continue to do so. Those calling for removing their tax exempt status are very shortsighted.
