This poll was taken in South Miami, San Diego, and Loredo!

Seriously...how many of you have been polled?

I have friends waiting patiently to enter legally. Why should illegals be able to cut in line? Reward them for being criminals! What kind of message does that send? Just because 12 million do it its ok? As I said yesterday, The pot smokers should all gather enmasse at a public place and light up...At last count there were 55 million pot smokers.

What is definite is that no one is going to find and deport 11+ million illegals...ever.

Not if we don't look for them, or even try, we won't. I heard idiot McCain yesterday shouting "how are you going to deport 11 million peole? No one has said how they would do that!"

Why doesn't the answer, "one criminal at a time" ever occur to anyone?

Yes, the reality is that 11 million won't be deported. However, the legalized guest workers must never be allowed to cut the citizenship quota line.

If you mean go to the back of the line, I think the current Senate bill provides for that. If you mean not add to the current annual quota, that's unlikely to become part of the comprehensive bill.

If you've got a plan to do that with 11+ million well assimilated people, please send it in to your senators and congressmen. But unfortunately there is no stomach for that. The idea now is to make the assimilation permanent but in a relatively painless fashion for all.

The MSM is openly push polling.

If these polls were REALLY accurate the Senate would not be backing off a bit.

Seems the politicians are PRAYING for some effect on the push polls.

I think the Mediots are fools and are over estimating the public's regard for their reporting.

The public now lives by a few facts of life with the MSM:

CBS makes up facts
AP distorts headlines to hide Nexis results
If its Reuters is wrong.
Nobody watches MSNBC because they just clone CNN.
CNN hates america and will spin all news as bad.
ABC and NBC are irrelevant

I would even doubt the question being reported is the one actually asked.

AP abortion poll misleads respondents
News giant claims Roe v. Wade legalized procedure only in first 3 months

A recent Associated Press survey showed a surprisingly large percentage of Americans in favor of upholding the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion decision, but the poll question itself was misleading, telling respondents Roe legalized abortion only in the first three months of pregnancy – rather than throughout the entire nine months.

The battle between Mexican Americans and illegals who think America is their land isn't going to end soon.

I hope more Mexican Americans like here stand up. I'm not holding my breath, however. Humans are tribal by nature. To stand up for your adopted country against your tribe requires going against instinct. Yes, some people will do it, but you can never expect it out of the majority.

In a recent AP-Ipsos survey, a majority of Americans (56 percent), said Bush should be required to get a warrant before monitoring electronic communications between American citizens and suspected terrorists.

BS!

I suspect that we are in the majority and this is the only solution that is acceptable.

No, but if you make it impossible for them to find jobs, they will deport themselves.

Some will. The rest will stay, get faux documents to get into the welfare system, or, there is always crime.

"The heavy use of welfare by working Mexican immigrants suggests that a guestworker program may create significant fiscal costs. Because the modern American economy offers very limited opportunities for workers with little education, it may simply not be possible to allow large numbers of unskilled people into the country without increasing the number of people using the nation’s welfare system. Of course, the guestworker program envisioned by some of its advocates would likely place severe restrictions on use of means-tested programs by the guestworkers. However, as we will see in the next section, although illegal aliens also are barred from using welfare programs, illegal aliens often make use of such programs, mainly by receiving benefits on behalf of their native-born children."

Those documents will not do them any good because they're not in the DHS database. Remember, the House bill mandates cross-checking all documents against the database before anyone is given a cent of governmnet money.

or, there is always crime.

That's what jails are for.

Another nice thing about the House bill is that it requires local law enforcement to check the immigration status of all arrested individuals.

"Don't buy into this media-driven, open boarders bullsh** for a second!"

Oh I don't buy it. I do wonder what we can do about it, short of revolution. The President will not enforce existing laws. The congress will not pass tougher laws or reform the Immigration Act of 1965, Ted Kennedy's finest you know. It the Republicans find a spine and try to do something effective the Dims will filibuster it. We need 60 solid votes in the Senate to accomplish something in this area. If the President acts due to a change of heart or Congress gets tough, not likely, it won't matter because the courts will invalidate whatever is done. I am not depressed about this just realistic. The Dims and some Republicans have labored long and hard to destroy America to rebuild it as a modern socialist state. This started with Wilson but really accelerated under FDR. It will take a long time to change this countries direction. I will do my civic duty this November (and earlier) to prevent the ascension of Bernie Sanders to the Senate but the majority of Vermonters are well and truly mad so...I can't promise anything. But I will never despair.

People shouldn't despair.

Look at it this way.

The Britons could survive their bleakest hour-when they were a few bombing runs away from being turned into a vassal state of the Third Reich.

It took centuries for nation-states like Sicily, Malta, and Spain to turn back the hordes of bloodthirsty Mohammedans that had raped and despoiled those lands for centuries.

Right now there is an apathy and despair-shared by too many FReepers, unfortunately-that nothing can be done to ameliorate this situation.

The media elites, the corporate shills, our feckless, pusillanimous government...

They all want you to give up.

They want you to believe the push-polls, and buy into the machismo of these idiots like Specter and McCain, forcing you to believe their own hype.

Convincing you that they're not afraid of us.

Well trust me, they are.

Very afraid.

I'm not saying that right now this isn't a bleak, depressing picture.

However, the more you allow yourself to be brainwashed into believing that we have no authority to control our own destinies...

That this is no longer a republic...

The more you allow yourself to sink into their own vacuum of falsehoods and demogogy, the more you lose sight of the big picture.

I'm not going to allow them to shape how I think.

This attitude is what got us into this mess to begin with.

Everyone saw one lawless, activist federal judge block Prop. 187, threw up their hands in despair, and gave up.

We can't repeat the same mistakes we've made in the past.

Do you have any reason to believe Ipsos altered the poll questions?
