I don't think she has publicly converted, but external indications would lead one to think that she had (prior to the kidnapping). Most of the information, with links, is someplace back on this thread.
However, I recall it from earlier discussions. For some reason, I followed this situation, probably because I am getting really sick of these leftist broads going off and faking kidnappings to collect money for their Muslim heroes, completely disregarding the lives of the innocent suckers around them - such as Jill Carroll's Iraqi translator or the Italian secret services guy shot to death during the "rescue" of the Italian "journalist."
Don't see anything except some speculation, can't find the 'daughter of M." verified anywhere. A headscarf alone doesn't make her a Mooslimb.
Not that I really care, just wondered if there really was a source for it.
An editorial calling for the release of Jill Carroll ran in Wednesday's edition of Baghdad's New Sabah newspaper. It was written by the paper's editor in chief, Ismael Zayer. Some excerpts:
"American freelance journalist Jill Carroll, who used the name Zainab in Iraq, has been held by kidnappers since Jan. 7. Jill loves Iraq and Iraqis. She is known for her independent thinking....
There seems to be multiple meanings for Zainab, one of which means "adornment of father".
