Happy news indeed.

Parents, friends, co-workers, the country and the world is ecstatic over the wonderful news.

I feel like my own daughter was lost and found.

All is well that ends well.

No, all is not well, and I don't think it will "end well" unless and until she's prosectured for perpetrating this hoax, which I'm utterly convinced the whole "kidnapping" was in the first place. Worse, she seems all too willing to have sacrificed her translator to carry it off.

Ack--"prosectured" should have been "prosecuted"--note to self: use spell check.

I'm glad you have such joy over this. Personally, I never doubted for an instant that she'd be set free. As soon as I saw that she worked for the Christian Science Monitor, I knew her kidnappers would never hurt her. Why injure an ally? Over and over, I heard their threats, and just thought "promises, promises." These fascist sympathizers are safe as a babe in arms, when in the hands of their islamic captors.

Do you know her and/or her family?

No. It's not over yet. Her situation was very grave, and her release can't be so easily "swept under the rug." Our skepticism is justified.

Someone brought up a good point -- why was she crying terrified in her videos? Hm? Was she treated like a princess (as she's now saying), in which case she was faking her tears, or was she abused and now she's covering up for the terrorists? Tough questions that absolutely need to be answers. It's not a "private" matter.

Is your daughter a terrorist sympathizer too?

This woman is singing the praises of her alleged kidnappers. Would you be singing the praises of your daughter's kidnappers if they had threatened to behead her and you saw her allegedly begging for her life on television?

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. If she was "involuntarily" kidnapped, then I am the King of Spain.

Hi RoosterRe-

"...I feel like my own daughter was lost and found..."

If this halfwit Jill Carroll reminds you of your daughter, you have to seriously get her straightened out. This would mean that your daughter is pro-terrorist and sympathizes with their outrageous violence. Did you accidentally forget the sarcasm tags on your post?

Oh, wait a second. I see that you just registered for FR yesterday...
