It's Not Xenophobia, It's Xenonausea--It is not Xenophobia. It is Xenonausea. People are sick of having the whole world shoved down their throats at once and being told it tastes like ice cream. They are sick of every street corner and parking lot being filled with criminal aliens waiting to work off the books and outside the laws that are applied so enthusiastically to actual Americans. They are sick of pressing “1” for English. They are sick of being at war with foreign terrorists and simultaneously being economically and demographically bound more tightly to the nations producing these terrorists. They are sick of being told that the world is global or flat or smaller or at their doorstep or all coming for dinner on Tuesday

Well, I agree with your rant, but what is the solution? It cannot be a "felony" conviction that the House proposed for every one of the 11 million illegals because, with 2 million criminals incarcerated in a prison system that is 98 percent saturated, where would we put them? In my little corner of rural Va., I also know many in the agricultural sector who exclusively hire illegals because "they're cheap, they show up, and they do good work!"
Trouble is, they also bring their families with them and put a real drain on our social services and educational systems. Their children begin schools in the fall and are there until the harvest season concludes, then they go home to Mexico, El Salvador, etc., only to return in the spring and therefore missing four-and-a-half months of crucial schooling--meanwhile the state holds the schools accountable on the Va. Standards of Learning requirements when those same kids can't pass their SOL exams.

Good comments - what you said. Unfortunately this is about who can buy the second largest voting block, since the 'hispanic' population has grown larger than the black population. This is also one of those polls that will receive very little coverage. It doesn't fit the template of either the old media or the current layer of leaders in Washington D.C.
