I eat plenty of meat, and I know that animals are killed , sometimes even by a sledgehammer blow. There is a difference though, these animals are raised to be food. They are part of the food chain, the seals are killed for their fur. This feeds the wackos that want a vegetarian society, by allowing them to garner money. They then use the money, to support many other causes. I can't see how any sane person could support this killing. If it were locals killing to eat, or make a buck to support a family, it would be different, but it is a commercial venture.

I eat meat too.
And tofu, and chitlins, and all kinds of things.
That isn't the issue.
It's not about food.
I'm with Jerimiah on this one.
