I went to the website but could not find any place to get a live view of the launch.

Does anyone know if this will be covered either on the Web or on TV? I will be home at 4PM and would like to see it go off. I know that some of the cable networks covered Spaceship 1, but this one now, is unmanned and may not garner enough attention

anybody????

I really want him to get this thing launched, hopefully they'll figure out how to get these things launched in one try after the first launch -whenever that is.

I sure hope so!

Just read up on Spacex, they also plan to launch from Edwards, so the difficulties of launching on the Kwaj in the middle of nowhere will be mitigated.

Of course if they decide to launch from SLC-6 at Edwards, they will be doomed because of the curse!

Just ask the 14 MOL astronauts, the DynaSoar astronauts, and the Polar Shuttle astronauts.

From NasaSpaceFlightNow.com:

SpaceX are in final preparations for the debut launch of their Falcon 1 launch vehicle - in a launch window that opens at 1pm CA time (9pm UTC).

NASASpaceflight.com will be covering the event live, via our interactive launch event pages, with live updates, images, reports and possibly information on a video webcast of the launch.

Update:

The sun is rising on Omelek Island in the Central Pacific where the 70-foot tall Falcon 1 rocket stands on its spartan launch pad. The countdown is running on a breezy morning. Time to launch is now two hours and 15 minutes.

Members of the launch team have been polled to ensure everyone is on station and ready to proceed with the countdown. No problems were voiced.

The U.S. military-run Range in Kwajalein reports a good lock on the telemetry from the Falcon 1 rocket. Safety officials will be conducting some inhibited checks of the flight termination system, which would disable the rocket if it experienced a major problem during launch today.
