good gravy! Coming at it from a portrait artists angle - the Lady is black - but with evidence of white ancestor(s).
Nothing to be either ashamed or proud of...just "is"
What is to be "ashamed of" is misusing it for political, personal gain.
Kudos to her daughter for standing up for her - and her mother's - reality.
