Milosevic Takes the Truth With Him

Milosevic's death probably marks only the second or third time most people have heard anything about the so-called "Second Nuremberg" trial in the four years it has been proceeding. That's because it wasn't going too well - for the prosecution, which Milosevic embarrassed on a daily basis. Journalists were snickering at the prosecution's flimsy evidence and flaccid performance. That’s right: journalists--those people who built their careers in the 1990s as co-belligerents against the Serbs in the Balkan wars.

Though Milosevic's conviction was a foregone conclusion (we wouldn't want any more rampaging Muslims than there already are in Europe), he was creaming the Court (the Court and the prosecution are essentially one) to such a degree that six months ago prosecutor Geoffrey Niceadmitted(transcript) that he was no longer sure what, exactly, the case against the former strongman was. Why four years to try someone who was the undisputed "Butcher of Belgrade"?The answer is that there's been an unintended benefit to the otherwise bad idea of an international court: the historical record was being set straight.

No, this typically corrupt Balkan socialist was no prize, but he was no genocidist either. But look for a renewed offensive about Milosevic's alleged "crimes" from the majority of the media anyway--and blame for the Balkan wars placed squarely on Serb shoulders--now that the press (both Right and Left) is confident the truth will stay buried with him.Slivers of this truth are present in a few recent headlines you most likely won’t have seen: “Ethnic Albanian Guerrillas Warn UN to Leave Kosovo,” (Agence France Presse March 1, 2006); “Kosovo Bishop Warns Not to Hand Jihadists a Victory,” (CNSNews.com February 23, 2006); “Terror Hunt for 7/7 Bomber's Relative in Bosnia Mosque,” (The Mail February 12, 2006); “Grand Mufti of Bosnia Calls for Standing by Syria,” (ArabicNews.com February 4, 2006); “Abu Hamza 'Boasted of Bosnia Action',” (London Times January 17, 2006); Ex-Security Chief Blows Whistle on UN's Kosovo Mission, (CNSNews.com September 27, 2005).

All that Americans need to know about that confounding, dreaded subject that we so aggressively ignore, the Balkans, is that the Serbs have admitted to not being innocent in those civil wars. But they were less guilty than their enemies--the Croats (a people Germanized since the 1500s and nostalgic for the 1930s), the Bosnian Muslims, and the Albanian Kosovo Muslims. None of these other partieshas admitted to anything at all, despite their much more dastardly roles in sparking the Balkan wars.Darling of the West, the lateBosnian President and fundamentalist Muslim Alija Izetbegovicturned down the 1992 Lisbon plan that would have avoided the Bosnian war. Then theCroats, under Franjo Tudjman, ethnically cleansed hundreds of thousands of Serbs from Croatia during Operation Storm. The Albanian role, meanwhile, was summarized in a National Post article by Canadian former UN Commander Major General Lewis MacKenzie, entitled "We Bombed the Wrong Side?":

"The Kosovo-Albanians have played us like a Stradivarius. We have subsidized…their violent campaign for an ethnically pure and independent Kosovo. We have never blamed them for being the perpetrators of the violence in the early '90s and we continue to portray them as the designated victim today in spite of evidence to the contrary. When they achieve independence with the help of our tax dollars combined with those of bin Laden and al-Qaeda, just consider the message of encouragement this sends to other terrorist-supported independence movements around the world."

When Bill Clinton misled us into an obscure region called Kosovo to stop a genocide that wasn't happening, he told us it would stabilize the region, keep the conflict from spreading. This is precisely what Milosevic was doing. Like clockwork, within months of our intervention, the Albanians moved on to terrorize Macedonia, and now they are fighting for parts of Southern Serbia, Montenegro and Greece to form the Greater Albania that had been their nationalistic and Islamic vision all along. Meanwhile, as UN human rights observer Jiri Dienstbier has said, "Kosovo is an infinitely more dangerous place than it was before" the U.S.-led NATO intervention. What we've managed to do, if you can imagine,is destabilize the notoriously unstable Balkans.

Indeed, we mistook for Nazis people who were fighting the Nazis' real heirs. Once we approve independence for Kosovo this year and Albanian borders revert to what they were under Hitler, it'll be worth recalling that an Albanian SS Skanderbeg Division and a Bosnian-Muslim SS Handzar Divisionfought alongside Hitler, and that Croatia killed 750,000 Serbs and Jews in concentration camps--in ways that humbled the Nazis. By looking for holocausts under every bed, we picked a staged one, and set the stage for a real one; the Serbs were only the Balkans' first victims.New York, Madrid, London and Netanya followed soon enough.

For some reason, fate intends the Serbs to be maligned to the end. Croatian President Franjo Tudjman died before the Hague could hand down an indictment for his war crimes--which would have exposed the damning Croatian role in the Balkan wars; Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic was being quietly investigated and died before the indictment came down (which would have been damning to the Bosnian Muslims)--and now Milosevic has died before the completion of the trial thatthreatened toexpose the Islamofascist narco-terroristhoaxon whosebehalf we declared war against a multi-ethnic European nation.

The strangest phenomenon about this is Democrats who screamed and cried and tore their clothes about Clinton being impeached are trying to impeach George Bush for allegations of misleading us into a war. They didnt cry when Clinton got us into Kosovo to get his actions at the White House sink off the news.

The only thing that I remember about this sordid affair, is that the USA was helping Muslims to kill Christian SERBS. The SERBS were on the side of the USA during WWII; the Muslims sided with the NAZIs. So under the warped logic of the Clinton Administration the USA was compelled to help the NAZI sympathizers.

Thre might still be time to hand Kosovo back over to its rightful owners before the UN steps in demanding that we hand Texas and California over to Vincente Fox on the same stupid basis (as Kosovo was handed to the AKs).

I would so much like to ask those who are so anti-Serb, face to face, why do you support Osama bin Laden's Kosovo Liberation Army terrorists and the Kosovo Albanian mobs who have all but eradicated Serbia's culture, language and religion in Kosovo?

It always boggles my mind that the myth of "250,000" (all Muslims, of course), who were llegedly supposed to have been killed in Bosnia because of Milosevic continues to this day, when the latest 2002 BBC statistic puts it at about 40,000 ON ALL SIDES while other Balkan experts put the total somewhere between 20,000 to 70,000! A far cry from the 250,000 that Bosnian President Itzebegovic threw out to the hounds who ran with it salivating at their scoop. It sells more papers with that kind of story.

While Clinton was supporting the Bosnian Muslim government of Itzebegovic, his embassy in Vienna, in 1992, issued a passport to Osama bin Laden whereby he visited both Bosnia and Kosovo on several different occasions. For all I know, he may still be there! - or dead, according to Representative Curt Weldon.

They say that in war, truth is always the first to fall victim, but in this war in the Balkans, you can say it in spades. Over 75% of the American people believed that Clinton was a liar yet when he opened his mouth about Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo, (or just about anything that came out of his mouth), they fell for it hook, line and sinker. But this president had to show the American people, because of his draft-dodging Vietnam record, that he, too, could be a war-time president in the mold of FDR. He also had to show to the Muslim world (appeasement), that we really care about them and that we were willing to destroy a Christian people, even if it was based on lies. And don't forget, he couldn't let this pip-squeak of a nation defy his New World Order, not to mention taking the heat off of himself for seducing a woman young enough to be his daughter. And let's not forget Saudi Arabia's role in this. Saudi Arabia wanted the first Muslim state in the belly of Europe, and Clinton wanted cheap Saudi oil and money. The Saudi's had signed a letter of intent to buy $6 billion worth of Boeing aircraft - so based on a self-inflicted massacre in Sarajevo, U.S. led-NATO bombed Serbian civilians for two weeks and the Saudis signed on the dotted line the next day.

Oh, I almost forgot! NATO needed a new mission now that the Soviet Union was gone. What better way to thump our chest like an 800 pound gorilla than to bomb little tiny Yugoslavia?

It was Hitler who said, "Tell a lie enough times it becomes the truth." Joseph Goebbels would have been envious were he alive today.

With an independent Muslim Kosovo run by Marxist/narco terrorists, it will be another corridor into Europe for al Quaeda and Muslim terrorists, as though Europe doesn't already have its hands full.

The Serbs never had a chance, thanks to Clinton's mouthpieces, a collaborating U.S. media and a pro-Bosnian/Kosovo, anti-Serb congress.

I still remember Clinton on TV defending his "loan" of USAF to the jihadist's as a "humanitrian" mission based on the allegation that Serbs (Milosevic) had slaughtered 200,000 albanian muslims.

The anti-Serb sentiment within the so-called "civilized" world community is astonishing and frightening and deeply ingrained to a suicidal degree. It illustrates the stupidity, the degree of mindlessness with which the "civilized" world is governed. Needless to say, the best examples of the destructive outcomes that can result when a great nation elects a "mental dwarf" as its head of state would be the Carter and Clinton administrations. Both of these former presidents should be locked up somewhere in padded cells.

I believe it was the U.N. and International Civil Rights organizations which led the U.S. to bomb Serbs in the name of lies.

UN did not approve this operation as NATO and Muslim countries could not override Russia and China veto.

But Bob Dole, and National Review, and NYT, and BBC were all for it.

Sounds to me like NATO was involved. On 10 June 1999, after an air campaign lasting seventy-seven days, NATO Secretary General Javier Solana announced that he had instructed General Wesley Clark, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, temporarily to suspend NATO's air operations against Yugoslavia. This decision was taken after consultations with the North Atlantic Council and confirmation from General Clark that the full withdrawal of Yugoslav forces from Kosovo had begun
