I am waiting for 'the light' to go on in muslim womens minds,
and hoping they will all decide to awake late at night and go and fetch their sharpest of knives.
Think of it , it could all be over in one night!

And...what are the stats. for women in other Continents?
Come one... women, men and children all go through horrific times and sometimes we don't even see the literal bondage.
All rape is wrong but it certainantly is not graphic to a area.
It is like saying trophic feeding changes are only exclusive to certain zooplantin areas.
Let us be objective and not subjective to a moral issue.
BTW I did not read the article.
To: Cronos
"50 percent of rape victims who did not report to the police were jailed under the Hudood Ordinance."
I'd like to know the REAL percentage of the REAL figure.
In "a couple" of islamic countries where Sharia law took foothold, a woman's testimony equals only half of a man's testimony. That's why a woman who has the misfortune of getting gang-raped, has no hope in hell of getting justice.

Yes, aren't they?
This happens in India too, the accidental stove fires that kill women. A women who survives a husbands death may also be killed for some ungodly reason.
Who was it again that said all religions are the same?

What haram talk is this? a woman's testimony IS NOT equal to half of a man's testimony!!!!
A woman's testimony is only valid to one third of a man. Shame on you for saying otherwise -- Allah the all marcifool will punish you....

It is safe to say that republics that are based in Christian principle have far better conditions for all their citizens. If you have ever spent time in Islamic countries you know the rights of women are dependent on the mind of their husband who may have taken her as a child for a wife. It is a stark contrast to our culture.

Our culture would find such acts repulsive.
But our country is much different.
There is Catholic/Christian cultures worldwide.
It however is the subjective communities outside of our practices and norms that treat humans in a manner that are repulsive to us.
It happens in bathhouses in San Francisco/Seattle for a dollar or two to the shores of Asian countries where wman walk on leashes for perverted sexual enticement of Men. Not to speak of the pedaphelia market trade world wide.
So to say these women are exclusive to rape is to disregard all in human acts of perversion and not of their own free moral will world wide.
It is wrong. These women have no free will but you can find the same sickness in your own country.
If you want to start somewhere and choose these women as an example ok but you cannot possibly blame a one culture or country on pervertive acts when the same acts are in our own country as well.

BTW I have spent time in Muslim South Indonesian Countries.
No thanks .....
I love America 'cause I have plenty of brothers here watching my back.
Yet there are very immorral septic fields here in the USA too....
I am not going to debate why men and woman subject themselves to that kind of treachery.
To: Global2010
Exactly, every immoral septic field in the world will be found where people abandon Christian principles. They work anywhere they are practiced. Who wants to defend the cesspools in this country. America has been coasting for a long time and the wagon is slowing down. It takes work to build a great nation, fewer and fewer have the stomach for selfless work.
You said,(I am not going to debate why men and woman subject themselves to that kind of treachery.)
They subject themselves to abuse against their will because of fear and ignorance, it is very cruel.

Every two hours???
That WOULD make them the most virtuous country in the world, wouldn't it? I mean, shouldn't that be every two minutes?
To: ncountylee
There was a time that it was NOT politically incorrect to call these people what they are: SAVAGES.

If you want to start somewhere and choose these women as an example ok but you cannot possibly blame a one culture or country on pervertive acts when the same acts are in our own country as well.Excuse me? You are sadly mistaken, Abdullah. While you are correct that rape and the other abuses you name happen here, This article points out two important differences:
(1) The RATE, that is the number of rapes per person in Pakistan is WAY higher than here.
(2) The POLICE, the government, the local authorities, in Pakistan COOPERATE in the rapes and murders by refusing to provide justice to the victims and cooperating with the perpetrators.
We are not trying to compare one perfect country to another vicious country. We ARE saying that though our country and culture are not perfect, we are not anything like so bad as Pakistan which has been unable to provide itself with a stable government since its birth as a nation and which also institutionalizes the sadistic and brutal oppression of women.
There may be noble Muslims, but as it is currently practiced in many parts of the world Islam is a cloak for pathological anger, for blaming one's own faults on others, and for brutalizing women, and enforcing ignorance on the population as a whole. It's worse than pathetic, it's a shame.
