Hong Kong flu mutated?
A Must read:
The new communism
WASHINGTON
We celebrated All Fools' Day with the usual mixture of practical jokes and japes. Joined by several immigrants from Europe and Latin America, we were convinced that the cruelest joke of the day was this statement, much loved by politicians and academics since the 1990s:
"Communism is no more. Communism is dead."
And, for those who know totalitarian regimes, the truth is that communism never died but merely underwent name changes to meet the expectations of new, politically correct generations. Today's names range from the nearly unknown "Bolivarian" to the all-too-familiar "international democracy."
One of these immigrants from Venezuela sought comfort in the belief that "we are in America and safe." How little did he know. Some experts believe that the Left and disaffected in our country represent as many as 30 percent of the population. Add to them the numbers of naive citizens and our problems can be foreseen.

Did you read #2936... from Emerging disease link. It all started there... I think toward the bottom of that link. I thought it sounded like something was mutating. Who knows. I know I have read somewhere that some of those SARS cases in China may have been the bird flu. They were so secretive, who knows. Interesting whatever it is that's going on. Does sort of sound like Hong Kong flu is mutating... but I think that's what they think the bird flu is. I am not even pretending to know about this stuff.
