The president has almost no power.

Congress would have overiden his vetoes for the highway bill.

President has no line item veto power.

The dems all voted against bush's 39 billion cuts in entitlements. If the gop had more members chris shays wouldn't hold the balance of power in the house and bush could get 390 billion in cuts.

Bush has to get harry reid's approval for social security because it needs 60 votes to pass and dems can filibuster it.

The President in the U.S is the most powerless position of any leader in any country concerning their own country.

The president has no power on the gulf coast. Federalism gives it to the governors and mayors.

Bush should resign because he gets abuse while having no power to affect the situation.

Bush should give a national address resigning and educate the american people on the myth of the power of the presidency. This isn't Russia. The governors in this country all have a millions times the power in their states that bush has.

Bush has been weakened because people like you have been stabbing him in the back for so long he's about to bleed to death. But you'll be getting a thank you note from your buddy Bin Laden any day now.

Well Done. Way to pretty much guarantee the Democrats will take the US Senate back this year. Probably the US House if the Texas case goes against us. Great job doing the Democrats PR dirty work for them you fools.

The ONE issue the Republicans had the edge on was National Security. Way to take a Democrat Senate Election year ploy and feverishly propagandize it. Way to mindlessly regurgitate the lies, disinformation and guilt by association being pumped out by Chucky Schumer and the Democrats PR Machine. Spare us the pseudo Conservatism. Actions speak louder then words.

Let's not kid ourselves here. The Port Deal Hysteria had NOTHING to do with National Security, the facts or better ideas. It had to do with the Whine All The Time Choir being mad at Bush. Since they were mad, they keep searching for new things to have a hissy fit about. The latest thing was the Port Deal.

The opposition to the Port Deal had NOTHING to do with facts, reason or data. It had to do with an emotionally hysteric temper-tantrum. The Whiners were simply desperate to "Get even with Bush" for spending or immigration or whatever; so they did NOT even bother to learn a single fact. Their opposition on the Port Deal has everything to do with their personal political bigotry and hate, NOTHING to do with the facts.

Only problem is this hissy fit is going to pretty much destroy the Republican Majority. The ONE thing the Republicans had going for them was the National Security Issue. You have all thrown that away by rabidly regurgitating the Democrats PR Talkingpoints. Well done. Way to actively work to elect Democrats. Congratulation. Rush Limbaugh was the Majority Maker, You fools will all be remembered as the Minority Creators.

<< .... if a sucker is born every minute, what are the voters? >>

Almost to a man?

Superciliously, sanctimoniously and self-righteously self-serving supporters of selected scores of standover and shakedown shuckers and jiving, justifying and rationalizing regiments of ratbag RICO-racketeering robbers. [AKA "politicians]

I was really glad to read you post....I was beginning to think I was alone out here with my real disgust at the Pres. being tone deaf on the matter of the invasion from the South, signing every high spending bill dished up by Congress(I'll NEVER understand why he didn't use the veto on some of them, then he threatens to veto a bill that would keep the UAE from taking over the running of the ports)

Try as I might, I cannot understand what he's all about.....and I voted for him twice. Not exactly what I thought I was voting for.

You guys do realize your are pushing Hillary Clinton's propaganda line for today? You are going to be gold medal winners for the DNC. Well done. Come in and talk all tough about Immigration to establish your cover then do nothing but post 100% anti Republican attack lines day in and day out for months.

Way to sucker us Freeprs! You really fooled everyone by pretending to be a Conservative's Conservative. So what will your reward be now that you fooled the Whine All The Time Choir into destroying the Republican Majority for you? Oh well done. Way to push the Democrat Propaganda lines on Conservative Websites. Moby will be so proud of you
