What do you think, DD? This is really controversial. I used to think one way, but now my thoughts are changing to more pro-life.
I know a guy who dated a girl in high school. She got pregnant, got an abortion without telling him. He was so upset, he never talked to her again. But now they are back together again. I know he is very pro-life, so I guess things change according to the situation. ???
You know what I think? I think abortion is a personal or medical issue and not a political one.
I believe that Clinton was elected - not just because of Ross Perot - but also because of the politicalization of abortion.
I believe there are many MANY conservative individuals who vote for the Dems because of this one issue. We are stuck with horrible politics because of this ONE ISSUE! And... we have hurt ourselves and our country and our politics - to no avail. Abortion is still legal and we have idiots like Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein and Hillary Clinton in places of power in our country.
I, for one, have not been pregnant - so, have never been put in a position to make this decision. I certainly hope that I would choose life. I know many women who have chosen abortion - and I feel they have been affected by the decision forever.
I think that educating women about birth control - and making it accessible is a high priority. I think teaching abstinance to our youngsters is a VERY high priority - but I don't see it happening.
I don't think it's my place in the universe to tell someone else what to do with a very difficult and personal decision.
