Yes, I'm surprised that the ports deal defenders are using this as an "I told you so" moment. Seeing the UAE resort to economic blackmail to save the deal makes me trust them even less. Why is it so important for them to have a hand in American port operations?

Why is it so important for you to piss on the head of an ally like member in good standing of the Party of Treason?

Yep I wouldn't be writing some of the nonsense they have been writing if I were one of them. Now that our noble "ally's" mask has dropped this just illustrates what people who were opposed to this meant.
Perhaps the reason the sellouts were so interested in pushing this deal is in the article itself:
"It is not clear how much of Dubais behind-the-scenes anger would be followed up by action, but Boeing has been made aware of the threat and is already reportedly lobbying to save the ports deal."
A woman called Rush today asking "how can we make things right with the UAE". Here are some of my suggestions:
Set your daughters up as hostesses for young Moslem males. We need to understand and accept their culture and that seems like a good start.
A vacation mansion for the emirs. It can be built on the graves of those who died on 9-11.
Okay I know I'll get intelligent responses about this. Let's see the latest arguments have left the pro-port people basically using foul language like something from DU. Guys clue from the get go about this: If a reasoned clear consistent argument had existed for this deal you should've used that from the start. The "you are a poop-head" argument really doesn't hold water.

The $64,000 question, or is it the $7 billion dollar question? Look at all the "knee jerking" going on. LOL! Blackbird.

It is not important for them to have a hand in American port operations.
It is about being stabbed in the back after spending money and working hard to finalize a business venture.
