In the interim, the president needs to appoint a point person (he needed to do that 3 weeks ago) to explain the facts to the public. It's the worst PR campaign I've ever seen.

It's the worst PR campaign I've ever seen.Yep, the one thing everyone should be able to agree on is that Bush mishandled this politically from the get-go. We wouldn't be in this situation otherwise with only about 19% support for the deal nationwide. Whether or not it was good or bad, Bush totally failed at selling it as good.
