The fact that CBS is reporting it is new. Also new,

Counter-terrorism sources say Hamas, which is set to take over the Palestinian government, is sending delegations to the Tri-border area in an effort to raise money.

It shows the international terror connections!

This region is crawling with Middle Eastern terrorists, fellow-travelors, and symps. I understand terrorists have set up training facilities in this remote jungle region. The governments in this region are either afraid to confront the problem there, are being paid-off, or are in actual agreement with the terrorist's goals. Another indication of the growing sophisication of Al Qaeda and its ability to branch out into areas of opportunity. They are also expanding on the high seas. We've got to build a fire under our government officials to get on top of this stuff. We are at war, and we ought to act like it. I think we should bring back the draft, muzzle the frigging press, put enough ships on the high seas to inspect every vessel, have armed guards on the borders with shoot-to-kill orders, send ACLUers and the Southern Poverty Law Center-types to Gitmo. Also, take out Castro, Chavez, Lula, and any other Leftie leader in our Hemisphere. My fear is that I will wake up some morning to the news that one or more of our ports has been destroyed by an explosive-laden ship or a major urban center has been vaporized by a nuke. All we are doing now is piddling around while our enemies are plotting mass-murder. This talk about a 70-year WOT is a crock. We could end this thing relatively quickly if we treat it like it is--a war for survival.
