Why don't you guys step down off your high horses for a little while? Then you won't be looking down on people.

It must be tough to be perfect, like you. (s)

I know you're just trying to be clever, but some of us are parents to autistic children. You might not care, but I found your remarks to be pretty insensitive and not particularly funny.

Get a grip. I have an autistic family member as well. I reject your idea that you have a right to not be offended. My comment could not have been more innocuous.

Nobody's being negative. This story was very inspirational the first fifty times I heard it. If you wanted to post it again in Chat, fine, but it doesn't belong on the sidebar.

Actaully, the main reason why we don't need re-runs of feel good stories is that they tend to attract sanctimonious dorks.

If you've read it fifty times, why don't you just move along to another thread and let the ones who haven't seen it, enjoy it.

Because you posted it to the sidebar Einstein. Feel free to post whatever you like, but show some restraint with the sidebars.

Thanks for [re]posting this. I had heard about this but hadn't seen the video before. In fact, the first time I saw the title(several days back), I thought someone was mocking autistic children and didn't click on it.

Your welcome. I just saw it for the first time today and I thought it was a wonderful story!

My deepest apologies for putting it the sidebar. I didn't know it would upset so many people.

He was on fresh legs against a team that was beaten down. Let's be honest, this was not how he would have been expected to perform regularly.

Six 3 pointers?
Granted, the other team may have given him a break, but maybe the kid has some talent.
Looking forward to seeing what he does in the future.

Thanks for posting this. I had not seen it before, but then I never watch CBS news for obvious reasons. As a member of the thick-skinned old codgers club, I can rightfully say that if watching this segment doesn't bring a lump to one's throat or a mist in their eye, then such a person must have a hard, cold heart. Thanks - OB1

Also, I heard some fat guy named Jared lost a lot of weight by eating nothing but Subway for a few weeks. You should post a story about this to "Breaking News," and then get indignant if anybody calls you on it. You have the moral high ground because you are the voice of autistic children who can not post for themselves.

I don't watch CBS either, but someone sent me the link today and I thought I would share it. It did bring tears to my eyes watching this kid--he got his chance and he did it!!!! I am sure his parents are beaming!

There's not many "magical" moments in life, but that young man and his family and everyone who was there that day to witness what he did, I suspect, walked away feeling blessed to have experienced it. I bet many of them will remember it for many years. I know he will.

You are so right, there are not many magical moments in life...but this was one of them.
